You may be eligible to work in Canada while studying, if your study permit includes a condition that says you can work on or off campus. You must also meet all the other requirements. You can only start working in Canada when you start your study program. You can't work before your studies begin.

As an F1 visa holder in the US, can I apply to a school in Canada for studies? Canada is a sovereign nation, your F1 visa means nothing when it comes to applying to study in Canada. You can apply to Canadian post-secondary education programs no matter where you live in the world.

Yes, you can certainly apply being an F1 Student. You do need to show funds for PR. Try to arrange it from a friend or a relative and make sure your Bank Statement shows that, also make sure it is not more than 6 months old. Dan

You cannot take a job away from a Canadian. So, you have to have a skill, or work experience, in an area where Canada needs workers and there aren't enough Canadians who have that skill or work experience. If that's the case then the government will give the employer a positive LMO. Then you can apply for the work permit.

You can only start working in Canada when your study program has started. Canada has taken new measures to help it’s international students during the Coronavirus pandemic by allowing them to work more hours. Currently, the Canadian government has completely removed the restriction of how many hours an international student is allowed to work.

It is allowed for F-1 students when practical training is an essential part of their academic program. The work experience must be a required part of your degree, or academic credit must be awarded, in order for you to qualify for CPT. You must also receive authorization from both USCIS and your school's International Student Office.

To apply for a job in Canada, you’ll need to get the right paperwork and research jobs online. If you’re not a local, you’ll need to immigrate, get a temporary work permit, or work as a student. Unless you were born in Canada, you’ll also need to apply for an SIN when you arrive in the country.

In general, as an international student, you will have 60 days after graduation to either enroll in another college program for further studies or enroll in an OPT (Optional Practical Training) program to gain employment after you graduate from college on an F-1 visa.

Millions of college students don’t have on the job work experience, when they graduate. As an international student on F-1 Visa (U.S.A.) it can be a challenge to find a job, unless you put in your work and ready to transform yourself.
